Jurisdiction

  • Represents the Republic of Serbia in the host country, the countries it covers on a non-residential basis (Niger, Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Gambia and Liberia) and at the international organizations for which it is responsible (Organization of American States, Caribbean and Association of Caribbean States);
  • Protects the interests of the Republic of Serbia, its citizens and legal entities;
  • Participates in negotiations with the host country's government, the governments of the countries it covers on a non-residential basis and representatives of the international organizations for which it is in charge; 
  • Promotes and develops relations and cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the host country, the countries it covers on a non-residential basis and the international organizations for which it is in charge;
  • Reports on the internal events and foreign policy of the receiving country, the country it covers on a non-residential basis and the activities of the international organizations for which it is in charge;
  • Develops cooperation with emigrants of Serbian origin in the territory of the host country and the countries it covers on a non-residential basis in order to preserve their national and cultural identity;
  • Performs other tasks in accordance with international law, legal regulations of the Republic of Serbia and directives of the Ministry.

The embassy performs consular affairs in the host country and the countries it covers on a non-residential basis.
